Little Makers - Paper Pops to Life!

Saturday, February 28th - 2pm inside Cafe Margot

Snip, fold, bend, and build! In this playful Makers workshop, paper won’t stay flat for long. Children ages 3-8 will turn simple paper into 3-D sculptures and popping paper portraits, stacking layers, making shapes, and discovering how a tiny fold or cut can make something stand tall.

This workshop is all about exploring, experimenting, and imagining. There’s no “right way” to make—just curious hands and big ideas. Some sculptures might be silly, some thoughtful, some wild and wiggly. All of them will be wonderfully unique.

As we create, we’ll notice how paper changes when we play with it—how it can curl, stretch, overlap, and surprise us. This is a gentle, joyful making space where children are encouraged to follow their ideas, trust their instincts, and let their creativity lead the way.

Little Makers at Margot's is a monthly collaboration between Margot's Mercantile and BeSpace Creativity Studio at Café Margot dedicated to hands-on creative exploration for children and families. Our sessions emphasize process-based learning, fostering self-expression and creativity in a welcoming, community-centered environment.

About BeSpace: Founded by Brooke Desir, an educator with over 25 years of experience, BeSpace Creativity Studio is committed to fostering creativity and lifelong learning through process-based exploration, art making, and play. Our mission aligns with Margot’s Mercantile’s dedication to providing joyful, high-quality experiences for families.

Each ticket will include one snack from Margot's Mercantile.  Snack is subject to inventory and will be determined by Margot's Mercantile.

Caregivers are required to attend.  Each ticket admits one child.  Please DM us for sibling discounts.  We expect this class to last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
